A negative experience turned into a positive one.

  • I started the 3 month Body for Life challenge today and I wanted to get my before pictures developed to keep them in my journal. I did not want ANYONE to see my pictures so I went to one of those machines at Wal-Mart but she told me she still had to look at my pictures to make sure they weren't bad or anything. I was SO embarrassed! I told her what they were for as she looked through them and she started to tell me that she has been through the same thing. She started to give me advice and it made me happy and feel much better about the whole thing. I guess it just shows you that what you think is the worst thing that could ever happen is never as bad as you think it is.
  • Glad to hear that turned out good I used to work in a photo lab, Wal-Mart actually, and I've seen some CRAZY stuff.. so some before pictures would quite tame. Even so.. yeah, I would still be a little embarrassed to get mine done! Congrats on your weight loss so far

  • Strange that the lady just HAD to look at them. I use those machines and no one ever looks. There is nothing posted about them needing to look. Here in Texas at least. Dunno how it is other places.
  • I dunno, maybe because it's Vegas?
  • What happens in Vegas, show up on film at Walmart.
  • They are supposed to look no matter what state. They have to check that you aren't reprinting copyrighted images (like images from a professional photographer that you are only supposed to have copies made by them or something). They also have to check for horrid things like child porn. I am glad that it turned out good for you. Maybe you can go to the same place with progress pics so that there is an extra person to help cheer you on?
  • That's what I was thinking
  • Lol

    They don't check mine either.

I think I found my next career! I bet there are some wild pics that go through the Vegas Walmart..lol.

I hated the thought of people looking at my pics so I bought a Kodak printer dock a few years ago, now I'm drooling over one of the full size Kodak printers, though my Brother printer does do pretty nice pictures as well. I just couldn't imagine getting arrested for kids bathtub pics like some have so my pics will never go out of my house to be developed.... some things are for my eyes (and future spouses ) eyes only!

I'm glad it turned out to be a good experience for you though... good luck on your challenge!
