Hi Everyone:
My name is Angela and I am new to this group. I have been suffering from a steady "weight creep" since my mid-20's due largely to lack of exercise. I have received a possible diagnosis of fatty liver from my doctor so really need to put my nose to the grindstone. I fired the gym that I never go to and bought a Wii Fit Plus to replace it. I'm a writer and it is much easier to get up and do a quick jog/other exercise in front of the TV than it is to get in the gym clothes, go to the gym etc. so this is the approach I have chosen. I have a couple of questions for the community:
1. Where can I get one of those cool "goal weight" slider bars that many of you have in your signatures?
2. Is there anyone else dealing with fatty liver and if so do you mind if we exchange PM's about what vitamins you are taking, what has worked for you etc.
If it is fatty liver (still waiting for confirmation from a specialist in December) it is only moderately fatty liver and I am not yet showing any symptoms, except maybe sleeping a bit more than I should. My doctor thinks I can reverse it with just a bit of exercise, since I'm not doing much right now. I am 220 and hoping to get down to a goal weight of 160 lbs within the next couple of years; I hope to shed that first 20 lbs relatively quickly, over the winter if I can.
