I'm not gonna call 'em "goals" anymore!

  • Cuz they seem more like "VICTORIES" than a goal. I'm not working on it anymore, I am just living my new lifestyle one day at a time and now it feels like habit . Does anyone else feel this way?
  • Seriously, they really DO feel like victories more than anything!
  • Thanks! I'd never thought of it, but victories is a great word to use. I've awhile to get to goal, but I do have victories every day.

I went to Rite Aid today to get a pill holder for my vitamins. Not thinking, I ended up walking through the candy, nuts and snack aisle. I just walked, got my box and left. A small victory but an important one on my day at a time lifestyle change.
  • Great post!
  • Totally...I think victories is a PERFECT word for em', especially cause I feel like I should be planning parades and fireworks everytime I come near one
I'm still struggling a lil more with the day to day lifestyle change, but I don't like the word "diet." It implies what I'm doing is temporary but I'm still waiting for it to sink in that this is PERMENANT!!!! So yeah, I'm living a new lifestyle and am working my way to my first MAJOR victory!!
    Awesome idea!
  • I know, right?
We all need parades! I think we are all doing fabulously!
  • Never thought of that! Lol I don't want to call them goals either...but shucks that means I would have to change my signature! lol
  • they ARE victories it's funny how many happen in a day -- I was at Wally Mart and walked by the mountain of hallowe'en candy. I've done this for a few years now, but i STILL get a kick out of it. When I think of the YEARS and absolute POUNDS of candy I would consume this time of year, I feel a bit queasy!!! i'm shocked they didn't have to take the side of my house off to get me out LOL
