vegan = veg*n???

Sorry if this has been asked before. What is the difference between typing vegan or veg*n? Thanks!

veg*n is shorthand for vegan AND/OR vegetarian.
It is also abbreviated with veg'n by some folk.

Yeah * is a wild card so to say veg*n really means veg[etarian,a]n.
