Oh not even...
I saw my first Angel games when they were the Los Angeles Angels in 1963 or '64...when I was 9 or 10 years old....back when they played in Dodger Stadium. I remember seeing Dean Chance pitch and that he was really something then.
I saw my first Dodger games the same years. Ron Fairly wore the same number, 6, that I did in Little League. Saw Don Drysdale and Sandy Koufax pitch.
Maybe it was because the Dodgers were competitive then, winning the World Series over the Yankees and Twins and losing to the Orioles between '63-'66. Maybe it was because I was a kid and had a really cool pocket radio with an earphone and could listen to the World Series games...back when they were all day games....or maybe because my 5th grade teacher was a Dodger fan and she let us watch the game on TV in school....how cool was that?! I bet with those rabbit ears the reception was awesome...wink....
Always an Angel fan but could never pull for them over my Dodgers...nope...
It would be like taking the hottest girl in school
(DODGERS) to the Senior Prom....or your junior sister
(ANGELS)....she may be hot...but she's still your sister
It has been a fun week-end here for me. You just never know...the Cardianls and Red Sox were each just one out away from wins...with no one on base...frustrating game sometimes isn't it....
