    Isn't it funny how carbohydrate-rich foods are almost always binge triggers for everyone?

    If you are unable to put the spoon down, throw everything causing you to binge in the trash and pour detergent on it. It is a waste of money, sure, but in my opinion, it is better to waste money than health. I've also been known to pour stuff down the garbage disposal and grind it up.

    From my experiences, a big way to avoid situations like this is to avoid simple sugars entirely except in single-serving portions. Like, don't buy a bag or box of something that you know might cause you to binge eat... if you really want it, get a tiny little thing. Some people have more self control than I do and can handle having a box of something tasty and carbilicious in their house... but from my experiences, if it is too sweet and too tasty, I will eat it until it's gone.


    ajowens, are you overall happy eating low carb? Do you think a different plan may be better for you? Maybe high protein, moderate (complex) carb, low to moderate fat? Perhaps you feel you are depriving yourself of carbs and it is ticking you off to the point of where your subconscious feels compelled to shove 'em down? These are just wild guesses; low carb may be the perfect thing for you; it has worked beautifully for some people.

    Good point, Nightengale, I find that if I tell myself that I will go no carb, I want more, whereas if I stick to complex carbs, oatmeal, wild rice, brown rice, I tend to stick to my plan better...
