  • Ok out of my 139-140 funk FINALLY! Turns out it was all my junk eating, eh who knew? I was telling myself that all along and just didn't want to acknowledge it. Back down to 137, pushing for 135 again! Thinking about either starting P90x or Insanity, don't think Jillian is cutting it for me anymore. Good luck everyone!
  • Thanks Bablou00! It's so nice to be out of the 140's My body loves being in the 140's as well so it's REALLY hard for me to get below, but slowly I will get there. I can't believe your work schedule, it's insane!!

    Hope everyone is doing well!
  • I'd like to join this thread! I've been hovering between 133-134 for the past week. I've been eating healthy, tracking everything, and exercising (all though way less than I should be!), but it's coming off sooo slow! I really want to get back into the 120's before I go to Europe at the end of the month. Hopefully this thread will motivate me to kick it up a notch with the exercise! Good luck ladies... we can do this!
  • bablou00- I saw you over on the ChaLean thread and was wondering how you liked it? How heavy do you lift/have to lift? And it will it tighten your thighs and get rid of cellulite you think? Sorry so many q's I am just looking for something new...
  • Girl I can go on forever about this program. Ive gotten my girlfriends back at home on it and my sister (whose down a few lbs already). Yes you have to lift. To me this program is geared towards women with a tight schedule who might not have time for a long program like P90x When I dont work out I do get dimples in my thighs and butt (yuck) but my legs look so smooth right now (not to toot my on horn). I was skeptical of this program at first but I have lost so many inches and around 11lbs (this is my last wk). For this program depending on how strong you are will be lifting anywhere btwn 5-30lbs on each side. Ive squatted and deadlift 30lb each.
Ive heard good things about Insanity but its mainly cardio and plyometrics. Chalean is a great program for weights and cardio!! Ill post all my results on Monday after I finish the program and weigh in.
Feel free to ask me anything else if you want!!!
  • Bablou- To answer your question a few weeks back, I wouldn't say I was actively trying to get down to 128, it just worked out that I was eating less than maintenance mode and still losing. But then I added some things back into my diet, plus hit the holidays/vacation, and that put me back around ~133. I still can't say I'm trying to get into the 120s because I know I'm not doing what I'd need to to get there, but I'd still like to get there eventually...does that make sense? Probably not
  • Welcome Autumsky!! I for sure use this site to motivate me...its helped a lot when I think about stuffin my face or skippin a workout! I'm sure u will make it to the 20's by the end of the month.
Thanks Forestroad! I would luv to get to the point where I don't have to work as hard to be where I want to be. I don't want to stay in the 20's long because I think I will look to skinny for my frame. I would probably be down to a 0 or loose size 2....and I like having some curves.
My ulitmate goal is to maintain and stay in the low to mid 130's. Everything just fits right and feels good around that weight. I am desperately waiting for good weather so I can do more running outside! I think changin up my routine will help me shed these last few lbs!
  • Checking in again, still 137. My posts will be far and few between since these last pounds are so STUBBORN. How is everyone else doing?
  • Yay, went from 140 to 138 overnight! So happy to be here. This new trainer and her diet regimen -- plus the fact that I have all day to devote to this for awhile -- are making all the difference.
  • Very excited to be down 2 lbs. since yesterday. I have made weight loss a full time job, doing cardio up to 3 hours (in chunks) daily, not eating after midafternoon, and doing an occasional juice fast day with green juices. Going to NYC to see my old colleagues on Wed; I'm trying for 132 by then.
  • Hey ladies, may I crash your thread?

I really, REALLY need to regain accountability with my eating. I went from 150 to 115 in 2007 and maintained for almost two years without too much hassle. Then I started taking anti-anxiety meds and in a year gained almost 20 lbs back, and now I am between 130-135. I think the meds may have physically made it easier for me to gain the weight so quickly, but at the same time, I totally dropped the ball with my eating, going out to eat more and going to more boozy parties etc due to less social anxiety, so it was kind of a vicious cycle.

Anyway, my challenge is to try to balance participating in life with eating well. I already know that I can lose and maintain weight living a hermitlike lifestyle, but I don't want that soooo... yeah.

I look forward to learning from you all!

    Maria
  • Ditto....the colder weather is setting in and all of the "stick to your bones" foods are taunting me, but I'm still determined to reach my goal!
  • I am all about hitting the 130s -- just 3.9 pounds to go! Seeing this thread and how good you guys are doing will give me the necessary motivation. See ya in 3.9 pounds!
  • And here I am! Sort of jumped head-first into the 130s... I'm sitting at 135.3, and can't wait to go lower! How are you guys doing?
  • I'm at 135.4 ... I was hoping to be at 130 by Saturday (just in time for me to go on vacation), but that was never an actual goal, and I don't think it's likely that I'll miraculously drop more than five pounds in the next three days. Oof, I'd really like to be out of the 130s, though. I remember the Thanksgiving almost five years ago when I stepped on the scale and freaked because my weight was 130 (or maybe 135). Funny that I am now celebrating numbers in the 130s!

Fivestone, you're doing awesome! Congrats on hitting the 130s.
