What songs have inspired or motivated you during your journey?
  • "Gotta Be" by Des'ree
"I am Changing" by Jennifer Holliday (Dreamgirls)
"How Bad Do You Want It" by Tim McGraw
    "Seize the Day" Newsies Soundtrack
"Brand New Day" The Wiz Soundtrack
    "Proud" Heather Small

Okay, I admit it! I am a theater geek! Alot of my music is from cast recordings or soundtracks!

I also found an album on itunes called Skinny Songs! It is great! Lots of motivation there!

Great thread! I hope I get more ideas!
  • Thanks MissBliss, I am checking those out now
  • Don't know if they would be inspirational to others or not, but they hold meaning for me.

Theory of a Deadman - Sacrifice
Eminem - Beautiful(don't care for him usually, but love this song)
Tom Petty - Won't Back Down
Kid Rock - Blue Jeans & a Rosary
  • Thanks kisskisskill! I added them to my list of songs to check out
  • oooh. Great thread idea! I will be checking out all of these songs and making a list !
  • Ooh kisskiss, I love Theory of a Deadman, my ex turned me on to them. I don't have one song in particular but good music is a must. I suffered through ten minutes of free step this morning with my wii fit just listening to the rhythmic beep. Music tomorrow!
  • I don't have single inspirational songs rather my whole playlist reminds me I need to lose weight.

I love metal. The heavier the music is the better. I also love concerts. But when you're overweight it's very tiring standing, jumping, pushing, shoving etc for hours on end. I want to enjoy my concerts more with less fatigue.

Therefore, when every song comes on I remember I have a goal.
  • Justin Timberlake--Sexy Back! It's a great workout song! Also, Jump by Madonna, great to workout to and inspiring lyrics.
