    This thread is to keep us accountable and keep us motivated and above all to keep us moving! All are welcome, and feel free to join the thread at any time. Some people post a goal for the month, some just keep track of what they do every day. It's not important how you do it, we just need to do it!!

    The summer can't last forever, so et out there while you can! Grab your runners, your bike, your yoga mat, your friends, your family, your dog--and get out there and be active!
  • 1--Rest day (walked around a bit while shopping)
    2--Bike to the gym and back, about 40 min/13K; 10-min warm up on the spin bike; 50-min spin class; resistance program, about 70 min; 10 min stretching
    3--Ran 13K, 1:27:50; 10 min stretching
    4--Bike to work and back, about 40 min/13K; 60-min sculpt class; 60-min yoga class
    5--Bike to work and back, about 40 min/13K; 45-min spin class
    6--Bike to work and back, about 40 min/13K; 60-min upper body/abs class; 30-min run, 6.2 mph, 30:22
    7--Bike to work and back, about 40 min/13K; 45-min yoga class
    8--Walking around downtown, shopping
    9--Bike to the gym and back, about 40 min/13K; 25 min HIIT on the treadmill (maybe 10 reps at 1:30 each); 60-min stability ball class
    10--Bike to work and back, about 40 min/13K; 45-min upper body/abs class
    11--Bike to work about 20 min/6.5K; 35-min spin class; 60-min yoga class
    12--Run to work, 6.4K, 40:20; 45-min stability ball class; bike home from work, about 20 min

    August 1 = 1 hour cardio

    My goals for today =

    1 hour cardio
    30 minutes core with MFC

    I have finished 30 minutes cardio so far

    30 min CARDIO HIIT on EMPTY. God, i hope i burned alot of fat!

    WEIGHTS ON FUEL

    August 2nd

    CARDIO ON EMPTY

    stationary varying intensities 30 min with tubing for arms.

    FLEXIBILITY

    Sun salutations
    basic power lunge
    extended power lunge

    crescent pose
    balancing airplane
    knee hug
    leg extension
    vertical splits
    half moon

    spinal balancing
    awkward airplane
    prodding and poking
    plank 30 sec
    side plank 20 sec each side.
  • Yesterday was a pretty killer day. 70 minutes on the bike trainer and a 30 minute run directly after the bike (Tri folks call this a "Brick") and when I was done running I stayed on the treadmill and walked for another 65 minutes starting on an incline of 8 down to 0 by the end. Whew!
  • 30 minutes core MFC finished
  • My goal for August is to loose 6 pounds and log at least 600 minutes of activity. I will be re-opening my daycare after a 12 week maternity leave. Busy, busy, busy!

    1st - rest (my back was killing!)
    2nd - 45 minute run/walk down the trail
  • 30 minutes cardio done

    Total today = 1 hour cardio, 30 minutes core MFC
  • August 1st- 40 min turbo scult video with 8lbs for half and 2lbs when I couldnt go anymore.

    August 2nd- 30 min bike resistance 6 and 30 min eliptical set on cross country the one that goes up to level 18 jeez that kills me!

    Monday and Tuesday = rest

    Well, unless you count all the things on my to do spring (summer?) cleaning list

  • So far in August I've done:

    40 mins of running/jogging/walking on the treadmill
    20 mins of jogging/walking with a friend at the park

    My exercise goal for the month is 900 minutes of cardio and 300 minutes of strength training/conditioning.

    Progress: 60/900; 0/300

  • Thanks Onederchic! I hear ya on the cleaning! Back to work day after tomorrow and not ready to face all the stuff I have to do in my classroom I'm just lucky I teach high school juniors and seniors...so I can get away with an ugly classroom longer than those who teach the kiddies!!

  • I've finished hefting boxes and lifting furniture, at least for a while now, and am in possession of my new apartment, which is only a short walk from the gym I'd joined for the summer. I'd stopped lifting weights during the move, since it seemed kind of redundant, but I'm going to resume now. I am looking forward to re-establishing healthy habits in a new location. It's kind of weird, though, because no one here in my building has ever known the "fat me." They take me at face value, and they see someone of average build who goes out in the morning dressed for the gym or in the evening with a yoga mat over my shoulder.

    1: One hour elliptical

    14: Ran for three & a half miles around Beaver Lake, weights
    15: Walked eight miles from 9 AM to 5 PM at Bouckville Antique Show (& bought very little; this was not a good year & the dresser & chest of drawers I wanted weren't there)
    16: Walked five miles from 9 AM to 3 PM at the show
    17: 45 minutes bike, 15 minutes rowing, abs work
    18: One hour elliptical, weights
    19: 50 minutes bike, 15 minutes rowing, abs work
    20: One hour bike, weights
    21: One hour elliptical, abs work
    22: One hour bike
    23: Walked five miles in humidity from 10 AM to 5 PM at Lambertville and New Hope (still no dresser or chest of drawers)
    24: One hour bike, weights
    25: One hour elliptical, abs work
