  • the US navy formula gave me 31% of body fat which gave me a shock. Just seem impossible O_O
  • Hmm, everyone seems to be getting about 31% on Amanda's site.

I put in my starting data (197#, 36" waist), got 32%.

    Compared to 140#, 29" waist, 31%.

    Hmmmm.
  • I'm confused about the forearm measurement in the Navy formula--where do you measure this? Top of forearm? middle? widest part?

I got 31% body fat as well. The other calculators I use have me coming in at around 26%.

Quote: Too bad waist to height ratio has the same initials as waist to hips ratio.
It took me a while to figure this out, but I think that's what the lowercase "t" is for. At first I thought they put the "t" in the wrong place--that the acronym should be "WtHR" but then I figured out that they were using "Ht" as the abbreviation for "height." So the "t" is in the right place, and the acronym for waist to hips ratio would be different, either "WHpR" or just "WHR."
