4 months ago, I was 130lbs..I've gained 30lbs in 4 months despite watching what I ate! I had stopped exercising when I was in school because I was too busy. I'm miserable. I'm the heaviest I've ever been so I was desperate to get myself back on track. I am in a wedding in August and now cannot fit in the dress.
That's when South Beach Diet came into my hands. I didn't think I could put myself through the first two weeks of no bread/cereal/sweet. I started last week and was doing well until I went into a spiral and went on a carb breakdown. I restarted Phase 1 today. My concern is that I didn't lose any weight during the first week. I've read both of the SBD books so I think I'm doing it right. I can only assume the problem lies in the higher fat diet. (I've always been on a low fat diet). I'm starting to feel discouraged from this diet. Any suggestions?
