Hi Seashell,
I don't have an answer. But, I can affirm that you are not the only one. I started at 267 lbs two years ago. I was wearing a 24. I went down to 222 and I still wore the size 24. I WAS discouraged
. But, I think it really depends on where our fat cells shrink first.
Now this year (Jan.) I started at 247lbs and wore the same 24. But, so far this year I have lost down to 213 and I can wear most 20's and some 18's
. So just keep on and eventually the clothes sizing will start to follow your lead. I haven't shopped for any jeans, I have just been making shopping excursions in the back of my closet. I'm 5'4 213 lbs and we will say a 20 now. This kind goes with the posts comparing weights and sizing.
It am guessing it is a part of the list of things that everyone notes as part of perserverance. Jusy keep wearing your jeans - - - one day they will just fall off. But, don't stop! Keep going so that you can get the pleasure of saggy jean bottoms and secretly contemplating getting rope to hold your "britches" up! I love reading posts from those who say they can keep their pants on or that people are calling them "saggy bottoms". It will happen just make your mind to out last those stubborn jeans
