Question for Guys

  • Hey! My boyfriend wants to start working out in the morning before work. He needs some structure, so I want to get him his first workout video for Father's Day (he got me a calorie-couting book for Mother's Day). Any recommendations (nothing too intense, please)? Thanks!!
  • Maybe Chalean extreme? They have guys (skip and i forget the other guy lol) in the vids, and they use higher weights - it explain guys will bulk up with weights. They're 3 months of weights (30-50 mins), 3 phases, 5 times a week with cardio (around 40 mins). The first phase starts you off light, so its an ease in. All he needs is hand weights or resistance bands.

    Kudos that he wants to start working out and Kudos to you for supporting him.

    Can't help you with videos - not a video guy.

    But when he's ready for a book to learn about working out, I'd recommend the For Dummies series. Some pretty good beginners stuff there.

    Good luck in finding what you're looking for. I don't recall any guys around here discussing videos.
