  • For us it's ground chicken/cabbage and veggie pasta sauce, Healthy Harvest yolkless egg noodles (whole wheat) and roasted green beans.

    You?
  • It's too hot to cook so we may just have salad, berries and turkey sandwiches.
  • Chicken pizza on whole wheat pita and homemade soup. Blueberries and a gluten-free lemon tart for dessert. Mmmm ... pizza ... hungry already.
  • Quote: It's too hot to cook so we may just have salad, berries and turkey sandwiches.
Too hot to cook?!? Oh I wish it was too hot to cook here ... hopefully soon!
  • I dont know, I have:

    squash
    zuchini
    cauliflower

Maybe I'll do something with Pearl Barley....its chewy and I like chewiness.
  • I have had the worst craving for a burrito...I think it's cause my assistant has had one for lunch every day this week....so I'm going to have one but I'm going to make my own and make it healthy with a whole grain tortilla, low salt salsa, whole grain rice, black beans and low fat cheese. I'm going to have steamed broccoli as a side. I'm hoping that will satisfy my craving!
  • 1 tin of tuna mixed in a bowl with a little olive oil, some balsmamic vinegar and mixed herbs. then at 2 tablespoons of curry powder and mix to death

then hand full of penne pasta boiled with veg and then run under a cold tap so its fresh and cool

serve with a bowl of ice cream.
  • It was a very small (3oz) bacon chop baked over 19oz sliced potato, onion and carrots, sprinkled with 2 tsp brown sugar.
It's based on a family recipe with a whole shank of ham and far more sugar and the best bit of it was all the fat where the sugar had seeped in and caramelized..... excuse me while I drool.
What I had was great, because it was a taste I love but far, far, far healthier.
  • Franks and beans. It was one of my husband's "oh no she's going to be home soon and I have nothing planned for dinner!" dinners. That's okay. Light franks, vegetarian beans, lots of fiber and protein, very filling and tasty.

Then I ate the soft pretzel he brought home from the dutch market, with a slice of cheese, so it threw my carbs way high on top of the beans.

Not too worried about it, though, as my calories have been low the last few days, so eating closer to the top of my level is fine for a day.
  • Last night was whole wheat pasta with 97% lean ground beef and caramelized onion&garlic sauce and 2% mozarella cheese sprinkled on top.

Tonight is payday! So we're meeting friends for sushi.
  • I got a coupon in the mail for one of McDonald's new salads LOL i'm going to try the garden salad with the grilled chicken, seems the safest of the bunch! of course their dressing will be thru the roof i'm sure so i'll use my own yay crappy take out for a friday night but not killer
  • I have absolutley no clue - B/L/D are going to be guessing games all weekend.
DH has booked us in for the weekend at the Hilton for my birthday. Its just the 2 of us and it will be so nice to get away. At least I can count on salads and meat for lunch and dinner - Breakfast is scaring me though! @@
  • One of my favorite's, we're doing broccoli quiche. Only 350 cal for a slice and killer leftovers for the weekend!
  • I'm having broiled fish and Mock Cracker Barrel Potato casserole, I found the recipe on the carb couters forum, used squash and is soooooooo good!
  • Don't kknow about dinner yet, but lunch is modified sausage and peppers. I LOVE ATKINS!
