New here and So HAPPY to lose my first 20

  • This is all new to me, and glad to have found other "losers" like me. The tools here look helpful and supportive. So, HELLO to all!

    I started my diet/exercise journey mid-February. As of this week I've lost 20 pounds and it feels great...
    20 down, 20 or so to go...

    Felt like saying hi and introducing myself. Thanks!

    I am not doing anything elaborate. Started out by cutting my food portions in half. I do 45 minutes or so walk/jogging on treadmill almost every day.

    Also I chart my progress and exercise each week, and can look back and say, "oh yeah, I only worked out 4 days last week instead of 6, that may explain why I only lost 1/2 lb". I can take stock and tweak things and see what happens.

    GUM!!! I have gum on me at all times. Chewing seems to ward off evil sweet tooth cravings. Usually.
