Finally making the transition...

  • Hi everyone,

I have finally decided to admit to myself that I need to make the transition over here from the 20-somethings. They are all great, but I think I may find more in common with you guys at this point in my life.

A little about me...I am a 30 year old mom to 3 great kids. I have a 10 year old son and an 8 year old daughter from my first marriage. I just had another little boy with my now finace on Jan 15th 2009. Now that he is 10 weeks old I feel like it is about time I get back to my weight loss goals. I am still nursing so I am trying to find a good balance of calories to keep him and me satisfied. I work full time as a purchasing assistant so I set a computer most of the day and the kids keep my busy and running alot with all of their activities.

I am looking forward to getting to know you all. If there is anything you want to know about me feel free to ask.
  • Welcome to the 30s..lol..I love 'em!
  • They are saying your 30's are the new 20's...I sure hope they're right.
  • The 30's aren't so bad. Really! lol

All I can say is, I would NEVER want to be in my early 20s again, but I would prefer to stay in my early 30s!

    Welcome!
  • LOL @ Wifely!!! I hear ya!! My twenties were ridiculously crazy and filled with drama, but my thirties have been fabulous even with the extra weight!! lol

  • I like my thirties too but I would like to "redo" my twenties! lol
  • Thanks ladies...so far my 30's have been great (granted it has only been about 6 months), lol. I loved my 20's, but am definately looking forward to future. I have a new husband and a new baby - kind of like starting a whole new chapter. I look forward to getting to know you all!

Exactly! My early 20s were insane!
  • ahhh, however I will be 49 in June and I HEARD the 50s are the new 30s...rock on!!
  • Ah... I'm still in my twenties, but not for long. Would love a re-do of my earlier ones (20/21, but hindsight is 20/20!), but 22 is when my life really started (moved to New Zealand to be with the most wonderful hubby ever!).

I'd say my 20s were pretty good to me. Not looking forward to my 30s. That's the time I have to think about kids and getting a real job (I'm in school -again- studying to be a teacher). Though, someone did tell me that growing old is mandatory but growing up is optional.
  • Welcome!

I just saw something about 40 being the new 20! It's all a state of mind!
