IN ONE WEEK!!!! it feels awesome.

so that totals 15 pounds in exactly one month. so i allowed myself a "Reward meal" (a meal thats not frozen jenny craig) and it was delicious, but now my stomach hurts. lol. but im still basking in my glory of losing 6.6 pounds in one week.
  • Great job!
  • Way to go! Thats awesome! Keep up the great work!
  • wow - SIX POUNDS? (actually almost seven!)

    That's amazing - congratulations!
  • Excellent!!!! Keep going!
  • 6.6 in one week?! That's great-- congratulations!!!
  • Hey pinkglow! Congratulations on the weight loss--but I wanted to give you a heads up about one thing: Don't use off-plan food as a reward for weight loss. It's the wrong direction, IMO. Sort of like a recovering addict rewarding themselves with drugs...

Stick with your plan! Doing good!

Congrats on the weight loss!! Feels good. But I gotta ask you, why would you "reward" your hard work, that's obviously - working - by going off plan????? Seems kind of counter-productive to me. I would hope that the good result would help you and propell you to stay even stronger on plan, so that you can keep on seeing more results. Because really the best reward, the best gift we can give ourselves is a healthy body.

Rewards - how about a manicure, a new lipstick, a small piece of jewelry?

Get back to your plan. No stomach ache. You feel good when you do. You lose weight. Pretty darn rewarding, if you ask me.
  • Congrats on your loss! You are doing a great job.
  • thanks guys! i was really excited as for the reward meal it really wasnt that unhealthy. i had a grilled chicken wrap with a salad. its just from a restaurant that i havent eaten at in a long time is all. i do realize that things other then food are a better option for a reward, but i was wondering, im on jenny craig so im not eating "Real food" and i was wondering once i go off jenny craig and im just in the maintaing stage, if i just start eating "Real food" (even if its healthy) wont i just gain?
  • Great job with the weight loss! Just a heads up, I agree with the others when they say not to reward yourself with food- any food.

In regards to your question, in the end what you need to learn is how make healthy eating choices and portions. If you think you can learn that on Jenny Craig, then go for it- if not then you may want to change your method.
  • Thats totally exciting, congrats!!!

I do however have to advise against reward food. Its an easy way to get back into your old habits.
  • im not sure if my previous meal has anything to do with this, but i am STARVING today. like... im eating everything im suppose to on my plan but. jeeezzzz im soo hungry, so idk if thats because of my previous meal or because i just work out a lot. lol idk
  • xpinkglowx2-- what's your exercise routine? You go to a gym or exercise at home?

I agree with everyone else on this thread: reward yourself with treats that are not food

    Keep up the great work!

seriously JayEll is right ... you shouldn't even start the pattern of rewarding yourself with food EVEN if it is something healthy.

A better alternative is to reward yourself with something like a massage or new sneakers.

Also if you reward yourself with food the pleasure of the reward is gone with the last bite. If you reward yourself with something tangible you can enjoy it for a long time to remind you of your success.

And congrats on the 6lbs it is a good chunk to lose!
