Hi WOW girls! I've so missed you all!!!
I have been away dealing with my "female" issues. I am perfectly fine now though. I had that ablation back in Feb, got a nasty infection following that so laid up with pain and fever, two rounds of antibiotics and still doing a multivitamin/iron supplement thing for very low blood counts and now I am happy to report that I am pain free and feeling so much better.
The bad news....I now weigh 265
But obvioulsy I have been laying around the house, barely making it through work, no energy, no endurance. SO while I'm not exactly up to par, I know I need to try to get back in. Even if I walk on the treadmill at 3.0 miles per hour, I need to slowly work my way back up to where I once was (I could walk comfortably on tm at 4.0 mph and even could jog a few times in 30 sec spurts, I could lift forever, I could do 100 crunches, and so on)
So...I rewrote my siggy. No short term goals for now. I just want to get back into the swing of things. I know I need you girls for sure! I need to work on the inside and the outside. So it starts again today! I like starting this time of year just because all those years ago when I was truly successful (wow, when was that? four years ago? five?) I started the day after a St. Patricks day drinking binge and got into the best shape of my life. Granted I only got down to 220? 215? somewhere in there, but I was exercising consistently and eating great and felt the best I've felt in my adult life.
So now. Today!! is a great time to start! We can get this fab jump start and by the time we hit our grooves, summer will hit and we can get outside and walk more, go to the park, hiking, walking the zoo, all those fun warm outdoorsy things.
So I'm back, I've so missed you all, glad to see all the regulars still hanging around. I'm off to read last weeks thread to catch up.
So proud of you ThinPoss for joining the Y, you are going to love it! Yes, go and play, learn everything you can and DO IT! Congrats! Oh and I'm with you on the fast food stuff. Lets count down the FFF (Fast Food Free) days. Oh actually I'm on day two, Saturday night was my last ff binge.
Plus I hear Shari, you joined a gym too! My girl! I love keeping up with you because we weigh nearly the same (I bet I'm higher than you now though) and we relate to each other because of that (though your schedule of work/school/etc is so much more complicated than mine!)

I used to read the Support forum, the 100 lb club, even the 300+lb club and the general chatter. I lurk about the BL thread (the one that discusses the show) and the exercise/lifting forums. But I hadnt posted there too much. But part of my new me goals includes contributing more to the community here.
