Don't you hate going back to work after a 3-day weekend? No more holidays for me until May 8 – Truman Day. The best part of working for the state is the obscure holidays they give us. I do have some vacation scheduled in April though.
I did dinner out for V-day on Friday. It was funny…on the way to the restaurant DH said he'd meant to have flowers and a card, but overslept and never got to it. I said, "So the card and candy in my closet…I should just keep that for myself?"
We got to the restaurant and there was a 30 minute wait and he walked next door to the florist and got me flowers. Silly man. Dinner was yummy, fattening, and I paid for it the next day at WI and was up 1.2 lbs.
I'm not terribly concerned. Eating pasta and cream sauce and cheese and bread and cheesecake and wine the night before WI – NOT the smartest move.
We did split the appetizer, salad, entrée and dessert, and even brought some home with us, but still it was more food than I needed.
Saturday was uneventful. Just went to WW and did some shopping and such and Sunday was much the same. Church, more shopping, housework. Monday too! I don't really know where my weekend went, you know? Did some cleaning. Did some cooking. It just flew by and then today, back to work.
Penny, I sympathize. I know I have enough dealing with my nearly 14 yo son…I can't imagine a girl!
Terri, the interview is kind of exciting! As for leaving a job…I couldn't give advice, as I've never left one of my own free will. My first "real" job (not summer part-time stuff) was as a lawyer since I went right from high school to college to law school, and I was there six years, until we had a parting of the ways. Basically, I was fired, but was already looking for a different job when it happened and they gave me a couple months and severance. Then I was here. Heck, even my ill-fated interview was in the same office I work for now. I saw your exercise on the last thread! 5K!
Color me impressed!!!
Barb,
for you! Hope the layoff passes right on by you!
To everyone else:
Gotta run….justice to dispense.
Riiiiight.
