Starting on 2/16 and planning to WIN!!!

  • Hello!

I am starting a weight loss plan with some pretty lofty goals tomorrow!!! I am very excited and I am just hoping this works. We are going to Disney World in May and I do not want to be a fatty mcfatty when we go. I figure if I write on here every day then I will stick to this!! Wish me luck!!
  • May is only 2 1/2 months away. Time enough for you to lose some weight. How much are you planning to lose?

Be sure pick a realistic goal. Or even break your goal up into smaller goals of 1 or 2 weeks at a time.

10 weeks away so say if you lost the recommended weight loss of 2 pounds a week that would be 20lbs.

good luck! And Disney is FUN! FUN! FUN! LOL!
  • What a fun thing to look forward to--I've been to Disney World and you will definitely enjoy it more if you are in shape---so be sure to get some exercise too, as you'll be doing a LOT of walking--good luck!
  • Good luck....it always helps to have something to look forward to. Coming here everyday will keep you motivated and inspired.

  • I'm glad that you are taking that first step and I look forward to getting to know more about you
  • need2bme- What is your plan? I've found that planning my meals with the flexibility of changing as long as I stay within my calorie range works best for me.

Scarlet- Thanks! I'm recovering from starting over on Mondays!
  • Hello All!

Thanks for all the encouragement! This message board is a blessing!

A little about me.... I am 29 and a mother of 2. I used to be a collegiate runner and then I got pregnant!!! I was unable to run but I still ate like I ran 60 miles a week. I have never been able to loose all the weight. My little one has also been sick off and on and it is hard to stick to anything. As soon as I get my bearings back after one of her diagnoses something else happens to her. Bless her heart.

So, here I am. We leave on my daughter's make a wish to Disney World in May and I want to be able to enjoy myself, and just run around with her and do what ever she wants!!!!

My goal is to loose about 25 pounds by then. I will still be heavier then I was in school but I will be alot closer.

Today was a good day. I did the elliptical trainer for an hour total and then did Barry's Bootcamp. I ate really well, about 1200 calories, and I feel hungry but good. I will probably have some tea and then go to bed!!!

Thanks for all the support!! I hope I can keep this up for as long as I am going to need to!!
  • Great job! What a wonderful start!
  • Day #2 has come and gone!!! I did really well today. Still starving!!! I did the elliptical for 35 min in the morning and then another 25 min before I did Barry's Boot Camp in the afternoon. I ate salad and soy protien..... all healthy stuff. I am really missing my chocolate!! I think this weekend I might have to have a little bit.

I just need to stay motivated and stick to this. During the day I need to remember why I am trying to loose weight. For myself and my family. So I can look like the person I think I am!!! Boy, sometimes it is scary to look in the mirror and see someone else looking back at you!

    Thanks for the support!
    Bye!
