    When I get there, I will:

    buy a pair of high boots, as in "these boots are made for walking"

    have fun with my clothes, instead of mainly using them as camouflage

    boldy walk up to cutie patooties and strike up a conversation

    willingly try new physical activities which either a) require me to give me weight or b) contort my body into small hitherto untried positions

    and a whole bunch more, but that'll do for now


    ps ooooooh, sexy nightie, THAT'S a good one, I want to add that to my list too!
  • I love this thread. It really has me thinking. I would like to wear shorts this summer. I would like to wear a camisole and jeans without a covering blouse. I would like to wear more fashionably daring clothes. Am I the only one that thinks some of Ugly Betty's clothing is cute? LOL.

    Still be me..I would never wear a bikini on the beach.. That's not me.. But I will go to the beach and not feel like I don't belong...

    I hope to get into running...

    Be able to get up out of the floor without much effort.

    Know that I will be able to keep up with my grandkids one day..( DO NOT HAVE THE YET.. BUT I KNOW ITS IN MY POSSIBLE FUTURE..LOL)

    Ride one of my sons horses..

    Have a better quality of life...

    - Take up pole dancing and burlesque
    - Run
    - Walk some of the Munros, and especially Ben Nevis
    - Wear denim shorts
    - Wear skirts more than I wear trousers
    - Get knee-high boots
    - Take up horseriding
    - Buy some HOT lingerie!
    - Happily dance my socks off in a club without feeling self-conscious
    - Watch my ex's jaw drop
    - Talk to hot guys in bars
    - Wear a bikini when I go on holiday, and know I look hot!

    When I see things like this, I can't believe that I sometimes want a pizza or a creme egg more than I want these things. What's wrong with me? I would happily eat just chicken and salmon and fruit and veg and soup for the rest of my life if I was able to have these goals as regular things in my everyday life.

    Try my best to maintain, so I never have this long of a journey again
    Feel better and have a better quality of life
    Participate in more physical activities
    Buy cute clothes from regular stores
    Wear the high boots!
    And... many other things!

    * Buy the sexiest dress I can find and go for a night out on the town with my husband (I currently NEVER would wear a dress)

    * Wear a tank top and shorts

    * Go swimming at the beach

    * Buy a beautiful / sexy nighty

    * Walk around with more confidence

    • Never fear going anywhere that may require wearing a dress or skirt!
    • I will BURN all "shapewear" in the fire pit!
    • I will take my boys swimming!!!
    • I will wear nightgowns again
    • I will no longer require the lights stay off...if you know what I mean
    • I will walk with confidence and never avoid ANYONE'S eye again
    • I will dance with my kids, run with my kids, go places with my kids more
    • I will be the person I once was both inside and out

    * Finally buy a cute dress. I haven't put a dress on for many years!
    * Never feel embarrassed being out in public
    * Buy some sexy underwear and burn the granny panties
    * Buy a bathing suit and feel amazing on that beach! Right now I wear pants and a t shirt to swim :S
    * Buy some sexy jammies, and get rid of these 2xx flannels
    * No longer require the lights to be off, and half my clothes on during sex
    * Go ice skating! I miss that, and right now I am too big to do it.
    * Be extremely happy, and not cry when I look in the mirror

    - Be running 5 miles every day and have lovely muscles.
    - Have a closet full of beautiful clothes without one single elastic waist!
    - Never have to worry again that people are judging me because of my weight.

    *Not be afraid of seeing someone I know at the grocery store.
    *Be confident again.
    *take my kids to the beach. And wear a bathingsuit i love not just one that covers it up.

    *wear boots.
    *be confident enough to show off my arms and my beautiful tattoo.
    *make friends.

    Buy hot lingerie and actually feel comfortable
    Wear a short skirt
    Change my whole wardrobe from fat clothes to hot clothes
    Help others with their weight loss journey
    Keep the weight off

    Most importantly love myself in my own body
  • For me I think a lot of it will happen on the way there not just when I "arrive." So my list includes both.

    Ride horses again.
    Go rock climbing.
    Do more difficult hikes.
    Go pheasant/duck hunting.
    Take up fly fishing again.
    Attend the Washington Outdoors Women's camp/weekend.
    Take more pictures.
    Buy a nice bathrobe.
    Go on a cruise.
    Stop snoring (I hope).
    Take up a sport like basketball or softball.
    Do three pullups.
    Go whitewater rafting.

    * Be able to shop at old navy in the regular size section
    * run 5 kilometers without stopping
    * Do the grouse grind (VERY difficult but beatiful hike in Vancouver)
    * Take my sons swimming in a real bathing suit
    * Leave the lights on (this is a big one for me, I am currently terrified to leave the lights on)
    * Smile more and overcome this depression
    * Ride a horse (my husband has been asking me for years but I just can't because of my weight)

    There are just so many more!
