I can't be the only one who is addicted to Kashi Go Lean Crunch!

  • I love the stuff I go through 2 boxes a week, I eat it morning, noon, and night. For a girl who used to love french fries with the same passion, I am just surprised, how can whole grains taste so good. Kashi + blueberries + low fat yogurt= my snack of choice these days. Is anyone else out there addicted or am I the only one. How do you enjoy this crack in food form?
  • I was addicted to it so much in fact, that I had to elminate it from my home. Not the Crunch, just the regular ole' Kashi Go Lean. I ate it for breakfast for months straight and then I found myself going back to the box for another handful. And then another. After a few weeks of doing this - I decided it was best to give the stuff up . I haven't had it in the house since.

It is really something though how ones tastes can change. I mean it used to be the ice cream container I would keep hitting. Kashi Go Lean? Who wouldv'e thunk it?
  • Exactly, its amazing how food preferences can change from french fries to Kashi its insane but I don't think I could give it up you have some will power, right now I can go 3-4 hours and of course when I'm sleeping without it.
  • I've been addicted myself. It tastes so good with blueberries. Sadly my love affair was ruined by moving to Ireland. I can't find it here
  • I love it, too. I really like the regular kashi crunch (flax and something flavour) it actually has a few less calories than the Go Lean one. LOVE THEM!
  • I loved it so much I had to stop buying it because I couldn't control my consumption!!
  • Sorry to disappoint you but the Kashi Go Lean Crunch has a lot of sugar in it (could be why you are getting addicted to it!)

You would be better sticking to the plain Kashi Go Lean!!
  • I used to eat the Honey Almond Flax flavor of the Go Lean Crunch like that, have switched recently to the regular Go Lean Flavor & Fiber. I make up individual snack baggies of one serving each and keep them in my desk drawer for afternoon snacks. The Honey Almond Flax got to be too sweet for me. Never pictured that happening! It was around the same time I dropped to 1tsp of sugar & 1 tbsp creamer in my coffee instead of several of each...

Kashi is pretty much the only processed food in my diet, that and yogurt. All the other sugars I ingest are natural. Per serving Kashi has less sugar than an apple. So for me the sugar isn't so much a factor, I enjoy the texture, I'm a crunch person.
  • I so agree about Kashi in general. I buy it for my kids too--the Heart to Heart cereal and waffles. It's higher of course but I keep reminding myself the food is healthier and more nutrient dense than the junky stuff anyway so they don't need as much of it anyway.

Nah, didn't matter which Kashi it was, for me anyway. The plain, old regular Kashi Go Lean was the one I was overdoing.
  • I just ate a snack of one serving of Kashi Go Lean, and can totally feel the desire to grab another snack baggie of it out of my drawer. It is like crack!

"Just Say No To Excess Kashi" doesn't flow, does it...
  • I love to eat it with yogurt and a cut up apple or berries as well...it is one of my favorite breakfasts. I also LOVE Nature's Path Optimum Power cereal with flax, soy and dried blueberries. It is not as "snacky" as the Kashi, but I find it incredibly satisfying -- especially the 9 grams of protein.

That is funny, I almost choked when I read this.
  • :-) I'm envisioning bumper stickers and T-shirts...

On the serious side, I've never had the Go Lean Crunch with yogurt or fruit, but now I want it. Badly. The only one I have at home is the Go Lean, I have the Honey Almond Flax here at work - think either of those would work or do I need the one with the blueberries?
