Me & Goji - Make Your Own Cereal

  • I found this on one of the blogs I read. It's kinda cool... you create your own cereal mix by dropping ingredients into the bowl and watching the nutritional value on the right. Once you've created your own cereal, you can buy it by the 21oz box.

The downside is that it's a little spendy - depending on what you put in the price is $10+ per box. I'm not sure I'm willing to pay that for dry cereal.

But it's kinda a cool concept anyway.

  • HmMm... that pretty neat.
  • Cool but $$. I'd love to try it though!!
  • I'm thinking I'm going to order some - I'm not a huge cold cereal fan, but DH is and maybe I can get some for him as a stocking stuffer.

I'll let you know how it goes.

  • Kinda fun, but Holy Smokes, that's expensive.
  • I saw that a few weeks ago on Skwigg's blog and I think the total price came out to $20 for something I'd want.... uhh yeah. I wouldn't do it just due to cost.
  • Customized cereal. Wow. That is cool. Too expensive though. But Photo, I think it's a GREAT idea for a holiday gift. A once in a while treat.
  • I've seen many of the ingredients at bulk bins in local health food stores and groceries. It made me think how easy it would be to blend something similar at home. Or to buy several of the ingredients and mix them for each bowl. If you're calorie, carb, point or exchange counting, you would have to do the math (at least once), but you could write the food counts (per ounce or per tablespoon, however you want to do it) on the container in Sharpie marker for future reference.
  • That is so Cool Photochick! I love the compost pile too, that is too cute! I love cereal I think I am going to buy myself a box.
  • Hey, that's cool! $10 a box? I probably won't be doing it but it's fun to do on the computer and it would be fun for Christmas. Besides, it gives me ideas of what to get from the bulk bins at the farmer's market.
