How Much Water Should I Be Drinking?

  • Sorry if there is a thread already on this topic, but I can't find one.
I just found a drinking bottle that holds 28 oz of water. How many of these bottles full of water should I be drinking a day? I have no idea.
  • I tend to drink 64-80 ounces of water per day, some days as high as 96.

There was a good thread on this a month and a half or so ago that I got a lot of good info from, I'll see if I still have it bookmarked anywhere for you...

    Found it...
  • Thanks a bunch
  • I've always heard that if you drink enough to keep yourself from feeling thirsty, then you're getting enough water. I don't think it's necessary to waterlog yourself or bust your behind making sure you chug down X amount of 64-ounce bottles every day. I keep a glass of ice water handy all day long and just drink it as needed. I make sure I don't let myself get to the point of extreme thirst and I'm good.
  • Drink enough water to keep you from feeling thirsty. Drink extra when you exercise. Don't bother forcing yourself to drink extra water your body isn't telling you that you need because "everyone" says you should.

    Mega dittos.

I know a girl who literally freaks out over her water intake.

"OMG! It's almost 7:00 at night (she doesn't drink water past 7 because she says she got tired of getting up to go to the bathroom all night long) and I haven't drank all of my water yet!!!"

She then races to literally waterlog herself chugging the stuff to get in her "quota".
