rambling introduction :)

  • Hi all! *waves*
    I'm new to the forum and am trying to lose 20 lbs. I'm 28 years old and live in Toronto, Ontario. I've had a few attempts in the past that have been successfull but somewhat shortlived.

    A little history: I'm normally a very active person, love running and working out but have always had issues with depression and am hypothyroidic. I've always had trouble keeping my weight down (partly due to hypothyroidism, even treated my BMR is pretty low comparatively speaking so I have to keep my caloric intake lower-than-normal to maintain).

    I've been going through a rough-patch depression wise and have not been motivated to work out as much. As a result, my weight has gone up a bit and seems stuck there! (normally, I have to run 4-5 days a week to keep my weight stable)

    So, anyways, enough about me- I found this forum and was incredibly impressed browsing through your posts- I'm hoping some of your resolve and strength will be contagious!
