Morning all,
It seems that the internal clock is back and ticking as I am up and doing as per normal now without the 'benefits' of an alarm clock or the cat.
As for songs to title up the September thread - How about this one - from years back. Real memory joggers here.
Try To Remember
(Tom Jones/Harvey Schmidt)
Try to remember the kind of September
When life was slow and oh so mellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When grass was green and grain was yellow.
Try to remember the kind of September
When you were a tender and callow fellow.
Try to remember and if you remember
then follow
follow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
When noone wept except the willow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
When dreams were kept beside your pillow.
Try to remember when life was so tender
When love was an ember about to billow.
Try to remember and if you remember
then follow
follow.
Deep in December it's nice to remember
Although you know the snow will follow.
Deep in December it's nice to remember
Without a hurt the heart will hollow.
Deep in December
it's nice to remember
The fire of September that made you mellow.
Deep in December our hearts should remember and follow
follow.
Now if that doesn't get you all back on the memory trail, I'll be amazed.
Happy, hope DH gets better real soon. Hate those headaches. I went through a series of them years ago. It wasn't pretty and I had a wheat filled sack to heat in the microswave. If I remember rightly it also had lavendar or rosemary or something equally smelly in it as well.
But I hope he is back to his normal self really soon.
As for no-one able to navigate in SAP - come off it, I spend hours teaching them all the little short cuts and tricks to make life sooooo much easier. It's only HR and Payroll that don't pay attention because they are the secret squirrels and nether take it in or give it out!!
Give me the practical sections everytime! I was showing a wee lady the intracies of requisitioning on Thursday and she was so excited by what she can now do - as opposed to doing everything separately and singly that she darned near hugged me. Most un-Indonesian.
I see the sun is up on another glorious day - I will be out there and at it again soon. I repotted nine of the orchids yesterday and still have another eight to go. Then I potted up the veges. Happy this time I am doing them in pots because it is easier to keep the water up to them than trying to bring the garden back into some sort of water retaining, fertile and tillable shape right now. So I have tomatoes, lettuce, peppers and chives in big pots. The first lot of lettuce is ready now. The first tomato has flowers but as yet no fruit x-rated or otherwise. Maybe when I come back from the last stint of work enough good bugs will be back to fertilise the plants.
Okay - can't think without the coffee. Need to go get some. I'll be back with some more personals later. Deep in September it's nice to remember - darn it all, wouldn't be back to remember in August!!!
