  • SERIOUS congratulations are in order for all of our April weighers. As a group we lost an astounding

    181.8 pounds!

Yes, that's right! over 180 pounds! Now, that's a lot of people's goal weights around here. For others its starting weights. But one thing's for sure, that's a WHOLE PERSON.

Together we are making this side of the planet a whole lot lighter!

So congrats to everyone who weighed in with us, whether you lost, maintained, or gained a bit over the last month - thank you for posting, let's do it again!

Let's hear it for everyone involved!

So, besides a whole person, what in the world does 180 pounds look like?

Well, for one, that would be 720 sticks of butter.

Or perhaps this 170lb great dane! (and don't forget the 40 sticks of butter he's carrying)

I also want to mention that this month we had 30 contributors helping us meet our astounding 181.8lb weight loss. Remember February? We had 25 contributors then, and only lost HALF that. Is that amazing or what? We had some GREAT losses this month!! (Though let's not discount Feb's loss, that was also fantastic of course!)

That's all I have for you this month, it's tough to find things other than pictures of people who weigh 180 pounds. But you know what, I'm really happy we have that problem! Congrats to everyone involved!

    Now... on to May!
  • I want to join this!!
  • I'll be joining!

  • applauding everyone, that's astonishing!!! Exciting!!

On to May...hoping for some better numbers for myself. I lose 3.6 in April, started on the 8th. So hoping for 6 pounds in May!
  • Everyone is free to hop in with their WI results at any point during the month, losses OR gains!
  • Oh man, well, let me just say that my final drop was a half pound, which rounds us out to a little OVER 180!! YAY us!! Thanks, Jaime, for keeping track of all of this!!
  • Well I did not have a loss/or a gain. So Yippee for staying the same

I really need to revisit what I did, those weeks I did have a loss, I know it's only temporary, but if I can help push myself off this plateau, I want to be a Big Loser again

I do hope everyone is a big loser this week, good luck at WI
  • I wanna join in mays challenge,
what do i have to do??
also how can i post my ticker without having to paste and copy it all the time. i could use some help with that if someone would tell me
Thanks all and LET DO IT UP FOR MAY!!!

  • You don't need to do anything special to participate for May, just come here and post your WI results, gains or losses alike, in this thread and add it to the group's total.

As for your ticker, since you have over 30 posts I think you should be able to get a signature now. (Members who are under 30 days old must have 30 posts I think before they can have a signature.) Scroll up to the purple bar at the top and select "quick links", then "edit signature." Put your ticker code in there and it'll show up at the bottom of all your new posts!
  • BIG LOOSERS! Here's to a fantastic MAY!

Now, lets all get to work!
  • I weighed in on Tuesday, so the very end of April. I had lost 4 pounds, and made it to my 10% (according to Weight Watchers, not including what I had lost before I officially joined!) so that was very exciting! So I'm down 26, and only 3 lbs to goal!!!
  • Way to go, making your 10%!! That's fantastic!!

I'm going to add your loss to the April thread, and your name to our April losers list, since the loss happened in April. Be sure to come back here after your next WI and let us know how it went!!
  • Sign me up!
Now that I have a ticker, I think it will motivate me more to watch it move. Just weighed in today at 162.8. Only 3 lbs. gone, and this is week 5. I didn't see the dramatic 5-10 lb. weight loss others did the first couple weeks (though congratulations to them!), and was disappointed, but I think it was because I already tend to eat rather healthy - no sodas, fast food, etc., so not a lot to give up. My downfall is wine - hard to do without since I run a wine tasting group, but I have definitely cut down, and make sure to eat out less. Oh, and exercise. Regular power walking wasn't doing anything for me (been doing it for years), so I added jogging intervals last week and gave myself a goal of running a 5K.

    5/1 - 162.8

  • I want in tooo!!!! This is amazing! all your losses are giving me the motivation to stick to this!!!!

Newbie question here!! Do we most our losses/gains on a weekly basis or at the end of the month???????
  • Most people post them after they weigh-in each week. You should start to see people tomorrow coming in with weights to report, as I know at least Faerie has Thursday WI... I guess no one has Wednesday WIs!
