  • Ok ladies, we were just talking about this in another thread - we need to REVIVE this little den of our forum, and what better way to do that than to share in some success!

Excess weight in the belly is a plague for many of us with PCOS and IR. It also makes us higher risk for Diabetes and heart disease! Who wants to sign up with me to vow to lose at least 1 inch of belly fat between now and Mother's Day?

You do not have to have PCOS to join the challenge!

You don't have to give your measurement. Just say 'I measured'.

Come back on Mother's Day (or right around that time) and report in!

1 inch might not make a HUGE change in your life, but it will make a difference in your health, and it IS a change in the right direction. I know it is frustrating to try and lose weight with a medical condition that seems like it's sole purpose is to doom us to being overweight, but it doesn't have to be. It just takes us longer.

Where do you want to be in a year - look at the long haul!!
  • Count me in! I measured!!!
  • Yay! Thanks Jennifer. I am in! Haven't measured but Tuesday I will when I go buy a measuring tape. Wooohooo!!!
  • You can also use string/yarn/dental floss, (just pull it together and have that cute guy in your picture cut it ) and then see how it fits on May 11th.
  • Thanks for the idea...
I needed something like this to get me motivated. I'm measuring today!
I just today stated looking at this website again. I used to post here a few years back. I have pcos and am TTC again. Trying to lose weight in the process and just started metformin too.

  • As an antique PCOS person, I should be posting in here. I just measured and cut a ribbon to the size. I'll see how much I can snip off on Mother's Day - which is only 4 weeks away!
  • I'm in, and I have measured.
  • I am in and I will measure tomorrow.
  • Ruth, I should have done the ribbon. I actually measured. I was unpleasantly surprised!
  • I measured, count me in
  • Count me in, too! I'm measuring tomorrow! This is exciting!
  • I measured!!
Ok I measured. And wow! I didn't know I was that round.

    Good luck to everyone!!!!
  • Count me in also.
  • How is everyone doing?!?!?!?! I am getting by. Trying to make this one inch (or more) go away!
  • I am in - will see what can be accomplished in one week. I like the string idea. Oh, I measured...
