Picked up a "Biggest Loser" booklet at supermarket

  • And their calorie recommendation for someone of my weight - about 150 lbs. - is only 1050 a day! I told my H, if I were to eat that few calories, I'd be starving.

The book is also recommending a lot of exercise. Someone trying to stick to a 1050 calorie diet and exercising would, in my opinion, become very unhealthy in a hurry.

I try to stick to 1200, but most days I fail and it comes out to between 1400 and 1500.
  • In my opinion, as long as you are losing at 1400-1500 calories a day I would stick with that. That way you have some room to decrease your calories if you stop losing at that range.
  • Would mind looking me up please? 5' 7" 219. Thanks!
  • Does TBL book have you eating back your exercise calories That can easily add 200 to 300 calories per day.

But yes, I agree anything under 1200 is a poor recommendation.
