  • guilt over what you ate that day and a stomach that isn't distended from a big after dinner snack. I used to toss and turn angry at myself night after night. Last night I realized that I haven't felt that way for weeks. It's great. Yet another perk that comes from eating on plan I hope some of you ladies are enjoying that feeling too. I'm sure you are
  • Isn't it great Missy? I was never a late night snacker, but I would beat up on myself for over-indulging during the day. And that was before I got on a plan...LOL!
  • Yes!

Isn't it an awesome feeling to leave the dinner table without being sick? To spend Thanksgiving afternoon on a WALK, not in a food coma?

I like this thread. It makes me
  • I also love this thread! It's how i'm feeling now and i want to remember moments like these which will help stop me from bingeing at night! This feeling is sooooo good We should all feel proud ladies!
  • The worst part of it for me is the excessive thirst I have when I overeat. It doesn't matter what it is, the food in my stomach just seems to absorb all the fluid in my body and I get parched. And I drink and drink and remain thirsty but get even fuller. And it's the watery, bloaty feel on top of the too much food full. I HATE that. It's VERY nice going to sleep without that feeling.
  • I love it too! I used to be so miserable after dinner and then still have a snack later. Now that I measure my portions I realize that it was enough all along. It makes me feel thinner!=0)
  • Ooooh Harpo - I felt that one. I've done that and been sooo bad after adding the water that the skin on my stomach hurt like it got stretched way too much, way too fast. And to be able to actually lay there not have to try and sleep sitting up because laying down hurt too bad. Yay to waking up refreshed!
  • I was a big believer in Tums. They were like my little snack before bed; kinda sweet and took care of the heartburn that all the crap I had eaten was giving me.

I haven't had a Tums in 8 months. There's no heartburn ever, and no trying to convince myself that the heartburn had nothing to do with my "diet".

Now there's no guilt and no pain.
  • YES it does!

I still have something at night, but now it's a planned snack. I don't have the salty, sweet, salty, sweet cycle going on now.

It's also great to go to bed without heartburn, and not to wake up in the middle of the night choking on a mouthful of stomach acid.....THAT was starting to happen to me on an increasingly frequent basis, from going to bed SO STUFFED.

    That is so disgusting....sorry.

That happens to me too...so then I drink a TON of water trying to quench a thirst that won't go away, and it makes me even MORE bloated...so yeah, I love going to bed with pride instead of guilt and an uncomfortably full tummy.
  • Oh yeah! and it's also great to not wake up in the morning feeling like i have cement in my stomache!
  • The worst for me was the sleepiness that came after overeating. I would eat and all my energy was zapped, I could not keep my eyes open. Sometimes if we went to a buffet hubby and I would go back and forth on who had to drive home because we both were suddenly so tired. Now we don't go to buffets and I haven't had that feeling in about 3 months. The lighter energetic feeling is much, much better.

Robin41--my hubby was the same way with Tums! He was diagnosed diabetic a couple months ago and his diet changed literally over night, and he has not had a single Tum since!
  • I haven't bought a bottle of Mylanta in 2 months! No more waking up in the middle of the night with acid reflux.
  • YES! Week #1 just finished for me...I am feeling back on track. Getting into bed and feeling tired from exercise instead of tired like a slug.
  • Ewww, I forgot about the acid reflux and it's only been about a month. Glad to be rid of that nasty experience.
