Looking for a recipe...

  • I used to make shredded pork sandwiches by putting a pork loin in the crock pot with bbq sauce, simmer all day, then shred the meat. Obviously, the bbq sauce has to go now - too much sugar. Any ideas on how I can make pulled pork flavorful, but SB Phase 2 friendly?
  • I know there are a couple of BBQ seasonings (McCormicks, maybe?) You could probably use that for something close to BBQ sauce flavor and/or maybe a little liquid smoke. One note on the liquid smoke a little goes a LONG way. Hope that helps.
  • You know, I'm dumb. I found a great spicy pulled pork recipe on the recipe boards that I must not have seen earlier today.
  • You're not dumb but maybe I am. The recipe boards hadn't even occured to me
  • Here is a recipe that is from one of the SBD cookbook's that is friendly for all stages. This is very basic, but you could saute some onions and garlic and add to it, or some Splenda for sweetness.

  • You could also try "Linda's Low-Carb Recipes"...don't remember the site but you can google it. I've tried it and several of the dishes I've tried are simply delish! For one, I love the seafood bisque soup (yum yum yummy!)
