NOT a Fabulous Find Tea!

  • I just wanted to give people the heads up on this Celestial Seasonings Red tea, it is the Madagascar Vanilla Red tea which is a rooibos tea.

One word, YUCK! It tastes like a bad medicine or something, quite nasty truly it is. Needless to say, I've filled it under the G, right into the GARBAGE!

Thought I'd share just incase anybody thought about trying it, it has a cute lion on the box, but it is not at all GRRRREAT, infact its beyond terrible! What a waste of perfectly good $!
  • I completeley agree! Yuck is the perfect word to describe that tea. Hey, take it back to the store!! Let the tea company lose the money, not you!
  • Don't throw it away! Send it to me!!!!! I love that tea. In fact I got a box of a different kind of vanilla roobios from a friend for Christmas and I miss my Celestial Seasonings one! As soon as this one's gone I'm switching back. I have it every night before bed, and really like it iced. So mellow - doesn't even need sweetening.

Hah, isn't that funny how people's tastes are different?
  • Before you throw it out, try it with some milk and sweetener. I love Celestial Seasonings Madagascar Red Vanilla, but I don't drink it plain (plain tea, blech, ). I add 1 tbsp of fat free half and half (10 calories) and 2 tbsp of sugar-free Torani Syrup (0 calories) and I think it tastes better than a non-fat latte. I have it with my nightly treat.
  • Too late, I already filed it! And yeah I always put a sploosh of fat free milk in my teas, and I honestly could not stomach this flavor.

Everyone has different taste buds obviously, so gulp, I say..you guys Enjoy! I am more of a vanilla carmel bigelow kinda gal at the moment and will stick to this as it is yummy.
  • That's too bad, considering how good Celestial Seasoning's Bengal Spice is!

On the subject of peoples' differing taste buds - isn't that just one of life's ironies?
