  • okay. I've got it started... it will probably take me a while to post them all but I'm working on it (i'm only on page 2 of the thread)! I will have it open to public as long as no one opposes. If someone opposes it.... it will have to go private.

  • Also, if you see any mistakes just let me know and I will fix them.... And if you have any suggestions for making it even more effective let me know!!
  • Does anyone have any good yellow menu recipies? I didn't see many (if any!) in the cookbook.
  • There aren't many recipes for days 1-10. There are a few more for day 5 but just kind of buckle down and tell yourself you can do anything for 10 days and then it will get a lot better.

Has anyone made the bread pudding recipe in the cookbook. I just made some today and start eating it tomorrow morning - it makes 4 servings. When it came out of the oven it was the consistency of real bread pudding and smelled delicious - it was really hard not to take a little taste

I'll let everyone know tomorrow how it turns out.
  • So I tried the bread pudding and if you like real bread pudding you'll love this recipe. It was so good!

you're welcome!! I've had to take a small break... i'm in charge of a Relay For Life team and it's quickly approaching so I've been a little distracted with that. I will try to post a lot of them this weekend!!!
  • I tried the bread pudding and the brownie bites. WOW!!! they are both AMAZING!!!
  • Gibsoncasa...thank you for the great blog...I will definitely use it. I wanted to share how I handled the evening "sweet" snack attacks I used to have daily prior to joining MRC. Once I was able to have creamy HNS, I mix the HNS hot chocolate with a spoonful of instant decafe coffee...this really is satisfying and hits the spot...chocolate and coffee...my favorites. I ran out of the hot chocolate and found that my cravings in the evenings were driving me crazy so I went to my center and purchased 4 boxes! This simple drink keeps me on program.
  • Alrighty.... I am officially on page 13 of this thread in posting to the new recipe blog! Wow... this is more work than I thought. But it's worth it.... it is REALLY helping me and from what I can tell it's helping you guys too. I hope to be finished today or tomorrow. PLEASE let me know if there are any mistakes (i.e. mislabeled recipes, left something out, or didn't post your name on your recipe) and if you have ideas for making it easier to use. If you're looking for a specific ingredient or word there is a white search box at the very top left. Type in your word and click on search blog... it will bring up the posts that have that word in it. If you're just looking for dinner ideas, click on the 'dinner' label that's on the right.
  • where in the world can i buy diet chocolate soda!?
  • I don't know if anyone has mentioned the vegetable chicken casserole in the cookbook yet but it's delicious! When it says under spices suggest herbs de provence - I agree. Those herbs make the dish. What's great about it is it includes your starch which is good for me because I always forget about it at dinner; especially on Wednesdays when I have to bring dinner with me to work.

I buy mine at King Soopers (kroger); it's with the specialty soda (like Hansens) and it's called Canfields.
  • Has anybody tried the Turkey Asian Meatballs? They are sooo good! I made a tweak to the recipe, and added that to the bottom.

    Asian Turkey Meatballs
    1lb ground turkey
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    1/4 c. chopped green onion
    1/2 tsp ground ginger
    1/2 tsp garlic powder

    glaze ingredients:
    2 pkts peach mango concentrate
    1 tsp chili pepper flakes
    1/2 tsp ground ginger
    1/2 tsp garlic powder

Pre-heat oven to 400 then mix all meatball ingredients together by hand in a large bowl. Once mixed, form into small balls and place on a baking sheet. (around 1oz each works well.)
Cook meatballs for 15 minutes. While the meatballs are cooking mix the glaze ingredients in a small bowl. Remove the meatballs from the oven and pour the glaze mixture over them. But the meatballs back in the oven for another 10-15 minutes. Cool and serve.

******I made some changes to this recipe when I cooked mine. For the glaze, I used a little olive oil, some water and a crystal light Peach Mango Green Tea mix. After they were cooked, I separated the meatballs into individual servings and froze them. When I am ready to eat a serving, I thaw the meatballs and then heat for a minute in the microwave. Next I put them into a fry pan with a single packet of Peach Mango Concentrate HNS. I cooked them together for a minute or two. The HNS was like a sweet gravy over the meatballs. It was delicious!
  • Ok so i get HOW to cook spaghetti squash, but i didnt realize they came in small ones, the one i bought is the size of my head, so what im wondering is how well does this stuff freeze, and if its not freezable, how long does it stay good in the fridge once you have made it?
