Tae Bo

  • Remember Billy Blanks? Seriously, I've bought /downloaded quite a few workout videos and I still think these are the best. For me a good workout video means a good balance of fun/exertion I've found that the more "fun" videos (Cardio Salsa) don't provide enough exertion where the heavier exertion videos (Body Pump) I get bored with after a few views.
  • I love his workouts. Mostly because he's so positive in them.
  • I used to be a Tae Bo devotee... I liked it when it was just body resistance, and I found that as new equipment has been brought it that it was become unnecessarily expensive and sometimes too complicated for my rhythm challenged body. I am still fond of his older programs, and think they epitomize what a work out video should be: fun, challenging, and effective. I would get up early before school, most days of the week, and would do one of his sets. It made me feel good.
  • Thanks for this thread! I'm going to have to look up some of his older stuff. The kickboxing stuff energizes me and makes me feel like I'm doing more than flapping my arms around. :-)
