  • No matter where we are in our program... there are always things to be grateful for. Whether your weight is up or down or if you feeling happy or blue - listing your grataitudes is a great thing to do.

Do you have five or so to share? It's a good way to start the day/week.

    Mine -

    - my winter coat, that I could NOT, snap or zip last year - fits with a little room to spare. WOW - I am so so grateful

    - a fun night with friends last night...we went to a different restaurant and then went to a neighborhood with million dollar houses to look at the xmas lights. WOW - they were amazing and beautiful. It's a fun tradition we've had for many years. Each year a different area to look at.

    - willingness to try, willingness to get rid of foods in the trash that cause me to eat too much.

    - mom's coming over for supper tonight - I am glad she lives near by

    - the internet - who knew it would change my life so much

    - having a picture of my grandson on the desktop of my computer...LOVE IT.
  • Great thread, here's mine for this morning:

--I laid in bed and watched Prancer cuddled with my two little ones early this morning, I am so thankful for them.

--My JM book is giving me super hard workouts that I would not be able to do at home otherwise.

--My jeans are fitting very loose, getting saggy in the butt, which is my worst area.

--I am feeling more energetic and happy now that I am off sugar, the hard part is over (I think)

That's all I have time for, eggs are boiling and kids are calling
    • My family - they have been completely supportive and have not complained (much ) about all of the changes we have made in our lives
    • My gym - who knew that the little gym in my little town would work out so well for me. It seems to be a perfect fit
    • While we are far from wealthy - I'm grateful that it isn't a struggle to buy whole healthy foods for me and my family to eat
    • I'm grateful for my two children - wonderful, empathetic, friendly, caring children who make their mom very proud and happy (Ok not weight loss but still....)
    • I'm grateful that I have this wonderful support group online. Although I don't post lots, I read EVERY DAY. I have learned so much here and recognize that part of my success is due to everyone here
  • -Soooo grateful that I made my Christmas goal today and am in onederland!

-Last night DH and I were able to have a romantic date night, since the kiddies were all farmed out. We haven't done that in too long!

  • • grateful for good health, and improving daily! Also that my parents are fit and well
    • grateful for GREAT news that a “shadow” on a scan of a friend’s colon was just a computer malfunction and he’s fine! Yayyayayayayaya!!!!!
    • So grateful for my DH who seems, incredibly, more in love with me than the day we got married 15 years ago (well, 15 years on Dec 15th yay!). He’ll never know how much he’s meant to me, and how happy he’s made me ( I tell him, but I don’t think he believes it!) He’s made me feel beautiful and sexy at 300 lbs, so he deserves a medal!
    • Grateful that we’re financially stable enough to help others this Christmas (giving a Christmas to a family who otherwise would have nothing has to be the BEST feeling ever – I feel kinda selfish! )
    • Grateful that, while I have no children of my own, I’ll be surrounded by them over the holidays! I love being the “fun auntie” to Greta, Megan, Matthew, Alexander, Deeya & Rahoul I love you all madly
  • Here are mine for the day:

    I'm grateful for:
    - my cat Muffin, because she's the sweetest cat in the world and having her health in question is making me appreciate her more.

    - my health and the opportunity to turn it around before something went really wrong.

    - my boyfriend Jed who is an amazing support to me in weight loss as well as other things in life

There's more, but I need to save some for later!

Purplefirefly, what's the JM book you're referring to? I might have to go and check it out!
