Calorie Counting Resource

  • I am looking for a website that can provide me with calorie counts for name brand foods. I am doing Nutrisystem and their website has a great tracker for their food (naturally!), but doesn't include calorie counts for the other foods that I am eating. I am tracking my calories, water, exercise, etc. on their website, so I just need a quick reference site. Any ideas??

    Thanks in advance.

  • I like www.fitday.com, it has a lot of foods in there. If you are eating packaged foods, the calories will be on the label, but if you are looking for like fresh veggies, chicken, etc. then fitday will have all that.
  • i also use fitday and i love it, ive tried other ones but i find fitday the easiest to use
  • Calorie King has lots of restaurant listings--you can enter them in your tracker. I don't know about name brand foods.

  • www.thedailyplate.com also has tons of info. I find it much simpler and less time consuming than fitday.
  • I use fitday and I bought a calorie book. Calorie King has an awesome book with millions of foods in it, some that I have never heard of
  • calorieking.com there has never been a food i couldnt find on there.
  • I just discovered this one yesterday while trying to find out how many calories are in a Quizno's sammie.. They aren't too bad, btw!!

HAH That is what I was going to suggest! I have tried FitDay, which has a basic interface but VERY limited selections, and CalorieKing.com (better of the two, neither had food from local stores or harder to find selections and MyDailyplate.com did. ^-~
  • I've got a cutie little book - I tried fitday for a while but it takes too long and i don't like spending time on the computer for that stuff -- i'd rather be over here
