  • When I'm feeling a little less than motivated I listen to "Move Along" by the All American Rejects. I LOVE that song and really puts me back in the right frame of mind. It's great to blast on my iPod when I'm running at the gym or even when I'm thinking about going to the kitchen for some contraband. So I'm curious if anyone else has a song that would be like their theme song for their journey...maybe something I could add to my Running playlist.
  • SONG 2 by Blur

    fits any adrenaline action.
  • With me in the incredibly filthy song "Work Out Plan" by Kanye West... I'm not sure why really. Other than he's like motivating people to work out lol.
  • I'm so sad - I have to go update my 'running mix' on my iPod... and NOT confess what's ON there NOW!!

    Heather
  • Hehe... In spite of not being very current with music (I usually listen to audio books), I LOVE "Fergalicious" when "I be up in the gym, just workin' on my fitness"
  • I have a running mix, which I change every few weeks.

Right now here are a few of my faves on there...

    1. Gold Digger by Kanye West
    2. This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race by Fall Out Boy
    3. God is a DJ by Pink
    4. No Hay Igual by Nelly Furtado
    5. Dirty Little Secret by All American Rekects

I love those artists for cardio so they are almost always on my ipod mix for running, I just switch out songs.
  • Most of the upbeat songs by Pink i would say Especially 'U + Ur hand' :P

You know whats funny azure... if you looked at my mp3 player right this moment you would find maybe 5 songs, C25K podcast and about 5000 minutes of lectures... pretty sad really lol.
  • I'm Too Sexy by Right Said Fred. I used to take Jazzercise and this was one of their get-your-heart-pumping songs and I just loved it. Lots of grapevines and jazz squares. I miss Jazzercise...
  • I don't listen to an ipod at the gym, so I'm pretty much at the mercy of the gym monitors and whatever music they decide to play. (ELO? C'mon...) But Chumbawumba's Tubthumpin gets me going every time. You know: "I get knocked down, but I get up again, you're never gonna keep me down..."

    Kim
  • Stuntin' Like My Daddy by Lil' Wayne and Birdman. Weird huh? You'd think I was a 20 year old or something. LOL!
  • "Irreplaceable" by Beyonce...I wish I had that kind of confidence and getting in shape will give it to me I hope.
  • I would have to admit my age and go with "Rush" by Big Audio Dynamite. The line, "Somehow I stayed thin while the other guys got fat" doesn't quite apply but it's nice to imagine! The switch up in tempo is kinda fun, too.

The older stuff by Prince seems to work, too. Let's go crazy!!!
