Howdy!

  • Hi all!

Im a 26 year old with a okay start. Im on a 1200 calorie diet, lots of protein, and I work out twice a day, I starte at 248 and Im at 221 now. I stopped weighing myself because it drove me insane. I have liver disease,so my doc's said it would help. I have 4 little boys, and one day I looked at my youngest and said I want to be here to see him do everything. Im a very strong believer in finishing what you statred, but sometimes, I just wanna take a nose dive, and my hubby is in Iraq so I need a little support....Thanks hope to make some new friends, Bri
  • Glad you are here! These ladies are a wonderful group, and anytime you nee help or motivation they will be here for you!!

  • USMC mom -- to 3 fat chicks! As Mary said, there's a lot of support here.

I'm just curious -- anyone know if there's a forum for service wives (or husbands)? I'm not one myself so I haven't really looked. It does seem like there are a lot of military spouses who post that there might be a niche for a dedicated board.
  • Welcome!
  • Hi and welcome! I'm pretty new too but the girls are really nice here.....btw i'm sorry your hubby is gone it must be really hard w/ 4 kiddos too!
  • Welcome and congrats on your weightloss so far!
  • Thanks all, I really feel like I can relate with alot of you on here. And no pitty from me, I have had my hubby gone longer before. Yes Im feeling a little better and ready to get back onto my weightloss goal. Does anyone have any good websites, for the perfect weight for your heights? Just wondering. Thanks ladies, Bri
  • Welcome! You'll really like it here!
  • and Oooh-rah! Fellow USMC spouse here. Glad to have you join us and congrats on your loss thus far!
  • to the forum. If you are looking for support everyone here is amazing. I don't know how I would have come this far without 3fc. To figure out your weigth I think most people here use the BMI chart. Good Luck!
  • Welcome!
  • Just a word to the wise - the BMI charts can be helpful but not always perfectly accurate. My doc told me that because of my body structure (i.e. bone mass) that my personal ideal weight would actually be ABOVE what the BMI charts say I should be.

But to get an idea you can click HERE to calculate your current BMI and HERE to see where they say you should be
  • HI!!! Keep going!!! I am new to forums and blogging and was actually led here through a military support forum. My boyfriend is going to OCS next week... I joined 2 forums bc I don't know what to expect... he's a Navy brat so, he's not sure what I already know and don't know. All of these sites seem great... (I just need to spend a little less time at them: to work out)

one is: militarysos.com ...the other is officersfamilies.com (or org...google it)

I like the militarysos the best, but the officersfamillies has given me a lot of info on OCS and my db's class. I found this site through someone's post on militarysos They also have a biggest loser group.

Hang in there! My goal is to lose a little for my db's graduation in 3 months and a lot by the summer
  • Welcome!
