    I did technically achieve the goal I set for myself in July; my "tight-ish" jeans are fitting much better. (Not even a wiggle to get them up over my hips! Woohoo!)

    This month, though, I want to get those jeans to fit somewhere between perfect and loose, and the next size down a little easier to wear. (I'm picky about my jeans, and I can't stand to look like I've been melted and poured into them, so I'm not holding out much hope until about Halloween, that I'll be comfortable wearing those small ones in public. Slow and steady, baby.)

    I also want to get some form of exercise every day, even if it's just dancing to the radio on the weekends. Hubby and I joined the uber-cheap Planet Fitness gym last night, and will probably be making our first "official" visit tonight. Plus, I've got my new Turbo Jam DVDs to keep me busy, Pilates videos and the knowledge I've retained from them, bellydance...man, why am I not a size 2? LOL
  • I joined the August Challenge over in the 20-somethings support thread and my goals are to:

    -- Stick to Atkins Induction for the month of August slip-up free
    -- Get 3 days of Resistance and HIIT (high intensity interval training) per week
    -- Get 3 days with 30 minutes of Steady-State Cardio per week (via walking or exercise video)

    I'm hoping that by the end of the month my comfortable 13s are going to be LOOSE 13s and that I'll be able to be comfortable in my slightly-too-tight 11's . I've also set my goal weight for the end of august at 140. With my slip-up, I don't know if it's possible--but I'm setting the bar high.

    My goal is 10 more lbs by Labor Day (Sept 3rd) . . . but secretly REAllyreallyreally shooting for some # much higher than that so I can WOW my W.O.W. (Women on Weed) Chicks Up For A Challenge Weight Loss Friends.
  • My Aug 1 goal was to hit the 240's and I did: 247 this jmorning. My Aug. 16 goal is 244 and my Sept. 1 goal is 239. I'm on Atkins, staying on Induction because I still have a long way to go. But I've lost 10% of my body weight so far! Go Me and thank you soooooo much 3FC, I could not have done it without you!
  • Well I am hoping to stick to induction for the rest of the month
    Exercsie 4 days a wk - no excuses! i always tell myslef im going to and i end up only going once or twice so that has got to change!
    Hopefully lose 10 - 15 pounds - we will see.....
  • My August goal is a clean (no cheat) induction for 2 weeks from August 5 through August 19th.

    I have been having chocolate cravings lately and that is so unlike me, especially since I don't have TOM anymore.

    I've done alright today but will officially start tomorrow.
  • Well my goal is to lose something while out of town for three weeks, anything will do, even two lbs. I will have to extend my 180 goal as it will be so difficult to lose that much while on hollidays.

  • my goal for the month is to get down to 230 which is a 10-12lb loss from where I am now....which will put me at my 10% mark. So far I've lost about 12-15lbs (depending on the day)! I figure if I stick on plan & exercise I should be able to do it.
  • Ok after my flub yesterday i am back on induction for the next 3 wks at least and quite possibly more. And gym 4-5 times per wk which is non-negotiable!
    hopefull i can still hit 179-180 by the end of the month
  • Yeehah! I have already beaten my Aug 16 goal of 244. Headed for the 230's...
  • I will try to be clean induction all month to lose 5# that I recently gained back. Anything over 5# will be pure heaven.
  • My goal for August is to get back down to my ticker weight. (I am up 4 lbs.) I am doing Atkins again . My exercise goal is 1 hr. of physical exercise 5 days a week. My goal is also to drinks lots of water, which hasn't been a problem with the heat we're having here.

    I go back to my Dr. on Sept. 5th and want to be at my goal wt. at that time.
  • Just wanted to say that I hit my 1st mini goal...to lose 20lbs in exactly 2 months. I had originally set my goal to be 203 by August 30th, but that means I have to lose another 4lbs in the next 1 1/2 weeks, which I doubt will happen, but I'm just glad that those 1st 20lbs are gone. Now, to work on the next 20lbs for the next 2 months.....

    I must say for not being much of a meat eater and loving those carbs that I've adjusted very well to the atkins. I never realized what great foods I could eat!
  • Well, I've readjusted my goal. I wanted to be in the 230's by end of August. However, I decided to quit the scale gymnastics, and take the reading I get when I first step in the middle of the durn thiing, flat on both feet, instead of the balancing act on thaaaat corner. I also quit taking any diuretics. So my reading went up a lot. But now it's feeling both honest and consistent. Just because I can get a lower reading by balancing just right and taking automatic-dehydration pills, no longer means that's the one I want to use. Gee, am I getting confident, maybe? My new goal was the 240's under the new reality. I got that this morning. I am content.
  • well i no longer think that hitting 179/180 by the end of the nonth is feasible- have had 2 many set backs and have not been working out - there are 9 days left in the month and if i can lose 5-7 pounds that would be awesome!

    i guess we will have to start a Sept Goal thread soon...

    My Sept goals are:
    Gym 4-6 times a wk
    Stick to 20-25 grams of carbs
    Lose 10 pounds or get to 175 which ever is lower by the end of Sept!
