New here...sort of

  • I've been reading everyone's comments on here and just wanted to let you know that I think you all are great. I've lost weight before counting calories, so I know it works. I fell off the wagon and now I'm starting over, this time with 10 extra pounds!! I plan on walking everyday and and I'm going to try to read all the new posts everyday for motivation. We just had a shift rotation at work so tonight will be my first night on the midnight shift. I'll be on this shift for two months, so my first mini goal is to lose 10 lbs. by the next shift rotation. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!

  • Since you're already having a life change by switching shifts, now is probably a wonderful time for you to change your eating habits too. When I worked nights, there never seemed to be an appropriate time to eat any sort of meal ... made it a lot easier to have minimeals and nutrient dense snacks ... ya know?
