Core

  • Have any of you guys tried it? What did you think?
  • I tried it about a year ago and it works really well. It helps you get a hold on the "mindless eating" because of the comfort zone.

I did really well on it before and I plan to re-join weight watchers and follow that plan.
  • I haven't done it yet... I toy with the idea of doing it whenever I'm at meetings, because our leader encourages us to try it, but the points plan is working for me, and I'm not sure that I have the self restraint or motivation to try the core plan just yet...
  • Actually, after I posted stating I was going on vacation and not going to worry about WW, I started thinking I may try to do core on vacation. It just may be better for me in the long run. I am going to do some reading tonight on it.
  • OK so I read up on the core plan! I am not sure if it is going to work but I am going to give it a shot. If you have read up on it or have done it can you help me out. Let me know if I understand this right. For the most part you can have any of those items in core up until you are satisfied. Only one serving of beef or turkey and then all the other stuff has to be fat free in the dairy section. And only one starch a day! Here is what I am not sure of do you also get 35 points for the week?
  • I've read up on it, and I tried it once for a few days. Since my biggest problem with food is that I am interested in QUANTITY more than QUALITY, I found that it was really hard to control the QUANTITY of food I was eating on core. I really needed that POINTS limit, so I ended up going back to Flex. Good luck!
  • That is one of my concerns as well! My husband and I always say we do not have a full meter in our bodies!! I might need to get more serious about the flex plan and stick to it! We will see!

  • Tracy - I know some people who combine flex with core. They count all the points, but only eat from the core list. Has worked for them so far, but that is too much restriction for me Good luck!
