Week of 6/3

  • Decided to start a new thread for this week

My Monday WI was good. Was down 2.2 which was good considering I hadn't gone to WI the week before (it was the holiday and they were closed).

Been super super busy lately with work and house projects. On top of that, DH and I have decided we are going to TTC this fall and so now I have some doctor's appointments lined up, including one in Oregon in the fall with my leukemia specialist so I can get lots of advice on going off my meds, etc. At least I get to go to Oregon! We are going to make it into a little vacation. It should be fun

Hope you are all having a good week!
  • GREAT JOB ON THE LOSS LORI!!!!!!!!!! I hope you trip is successful as well as fun!

Thanks for getting us started this week!
  • Way to go on the loss, Lori! Congrats!!

    Hi, Misty!!
  • Hi all, just a quick drop in. More when I get a chance sorry I have been absent alot.
  • Hi all. My lif eis a whirl wind right now. But starting next week I will be working only on Tuesday, Wednesday adn Thursday So I should be getting a couple days off.

I am getting a new job. Long story. But I will be doing speech therapy in my home school district 3 days a week, still teaching preschool half days three days a week. So it's going to be a juggling act. I was looking at my self this morning and thinking about how in the fall I have to wear a teacher's wordrobe instead of my usual jeans which I wear to teach preschool. And I was thinking it really sucks to be a size 28. So I need to get my butt of of this slump I've been in for a year and get going. I am thinking of a summer challenge of some kind maybe? At the very least I need to be on track. It's been really bad with eating out constantly, no exercise and stress eating on junk like candy bars and mt dew.

Steph-when are you due? You've got to be getting close right?
  • Hellooooooooo! I am so happy about this week. I really got myself back on track. I am only about 1 pound up from where I was a week and a half ago. That is after my horribly OFF weekend I had last weekend and TOM. I think I'm good to go! I will be happy on Monday if I just stay the same. I need to get my butt in gear and exercise more, though. Now that TOM is over, I have SO much energy. Last weekend I had a ton too. I think that eating better is really helping with that. I used to get COMPLETELY exhausted, mostly because of my meds. But (aside from last weekend!) I've been sticking to the plan and trying to get 3-4 days of exercising (usually just 40 minutes of leisurely walking) in every week. Its really REALLY been paying off. Of course the nice weather has helped too!

Misty - I'll join you in a challenge if you can think of one! Good luck with the new jobs. They sound fun! I wanted to be an elementary school music teacher before I opted for another profession. DH and I had been together a while and he never went to college, didn't have a good paying job. I decided to pick up the slack. Now I do software programming. I love it, but sometimes dream of teaching. Been thinking recently about doing part-time computer science classes at a community college or something.

Where is everyone? Come back and post! I miss you ladies.
  • Misty, I'm due July 19th. I've always thought that I'd be late, but now I'm starting to think this little guy will come early. Who knows. I have good intentions to try to hit this weight loss hard core after the baby comes, so I hope I don't wimp out. I'm upset about the amount of weight that I've gained, but I guess i can't beat myself up over it now...it's too late!

Congrats on the different job, Misty! Maybe that will help with the motivation??

Lori, it sounds like you're doing AWESOME!

    Have a good weekend!
