  • My goal is to run 50 miles and bike 150 miles.
  • 5/2/07
    biked 12/12/150
  • Thanks for starting the thread.

Tues May 1 -- Did 32 minutes on the elliptical machine, plus 100
    leg lifts on each side.
I was still extremely sore from Saturday's workout, but because May Day
is a public holiday here, I had extra time to coax myself through the
    exercise anyway.

Wed May 2 -- Did 21 minutes of biking. Had some intense intervals,
but otherwise just the bare-bones minimum workout.

Thurs May 3 is a very tight schedule and I might not be able to
work out after work, but I did a few lame iso-whatever exercises
    in my office.

  • Thanks Shelley the invite is just what I needed.
I hiked yesterday for 1 hour in the bush. The trail was 2 miles.
Going to swim this morning than hike this afternoon.
  • Fantastic, Janice! I'm so glad you decided to join us!!
  • Swam for 1/2 an hour - hiked for 1/2 hour - May 3/07
  • Thurs didn't get to gym, as expected.

Fri did weight lifting, one set on each of the machines
at my condo's little gym, except not incline press.

Saturday - unless my husband watches the kids in the early
morning, I'll have only a narrow window of time in the early
afternoon and I hope I don't let it slip away without exercising.

    Lisa
  • Had a belly dance class today and I really am out of shape, missing one week and WOW! I felt it!
  • Felt crappy and struggled to do cardio on the elliptical machine
with slow speed and easy resistance. After a while the blood was
pumping enough to increase the intensity a bit. 23 minutes of cardio
    plus modified push-ups.

    Determined,
    Lisa
  • Good going, Lisa!
Janice-Wow on the swim and hike!
Debbi-Glad to see you are back at the belly moving!
    5/5/07
    biked 18.5/30.5/150
  • 5/6/07
    biked 22.5/53/150
  • Sunday did 22 min on the bike at resistance levels 7 and 8, which isn't
too bad. Also some row/bicep weight lifting. The soreness in my
triceps (sore but not aching) means my push-ups the previous day
    were on target.

Monday's exercise will be a long round-trip walk while pushing a double
stroller. I hope it doesn't rain.

    Lisa
  • Tues did nothing.

Wed did 25 min and 250 calories on elliptical. Yay!
Then 1 set each of biceps and lat pulldown weights.

    Lisa
  • Good for you, Lisa! Did you do the long walk on Monday with the stroller?
    5/9/07
    run 2
    walk 1/3/50
