  • wow, I haven't seen Larry North since Value Vision....(who refunded my $$ voluntarily because his product/supplement was found to be hooey).

I don't remember what his program entailed...but cheese is about 90% fat so it's usually limited on any dieting program.
  • I had a book by him and I vaguely remember it. He had a quick seven day slimdown or something for special occasions (which I personally couldn't stay on for more than a few days but I'm sure some people could). His daily plans were doable and I remember one of his recipes for a mock rubin sandwich which I actually like! The thing I remember was that he would give you one exercise a day, which I thought was inadequate but if one doesn't do any exercise at all I guess it's a way of easing you into exercise. You got me curious, now...think I'll look for that book. I don't know if this program you are thinking of doing is newer and different than from the one I read about in the book. I think it may be worth a try if you think you can stick with it. Let us know how you do if you decide to look into it.
  • Hey, I tried the Larry North home program back in 1999. It worked great for me, mainly cause I don't eat many sweets and all the foods he lists are things I enjoy anyway. I lost 33lbs in about 12 weeks, wasn't hungry at all (you eat every 3-4 hours..how can you be hungry?!), and felt so much better both mentally and physically while on the plan. Went from a size 18 to a size 8/10 in 3 months! Yeah! My fave thing is the low fat tortilla pizzas...taste soooo good and feel soooo cheaty! lol! Due to a lot of stressful family situations, I have put the weight back on, but have just begun the program again. It does work, but you have to invest yourself and believe in what you're doing. I didn't use the weights so much as the exercise, walking, and the foods. Go girl! You can do it!
