no sleep = lo motivation = lo will power!!!!

  • Hey everyone - I am new to the site. I just wanted to let out my frustration and hopefully get some support. I've been on my diet for just a little over a week now. It's been really hard, especially through Valentine's Day. I haven't cheated so far but last night I was up half the night with my daughter who was having chills from a fever. Today I am very tired and am not motivated much at all. Im so hungry right now but I think it's just my emotions. Hoping my attitude changes before this evening. Thanks for listening!

  • lack of sleep can make you feel hungry too...the body is calling for energy..take even a 15 minute nap, a brisk walk and you might feel better.
  • Hey! Hope you're feeling better!

It helps to have something low-cal and close to hand for when you are feeling that way. My favorite is baby-cut carrots--you can eat several of them for very little calories, and they are good to chew on. A few Triscuits (like, 3) with a tablespoon of cheese spread divided up on them are also a good snack.

Many plans allow snacks like this. No need to be too harsh on yourself when you're really tired out.
