Need treadmill regimen help

  • How do I calculate WW activity points with my new regimen?

I had been doing 40 min. on the treadmill at 3.4 mph and a 4% grade. I was sweaty and breathing reasonably hard, butI wouldn't call it extremely vigorous - that gave me 3 points.

    Now I'm doing interval training:
    short warmup (5 min)
    4 min. at 4 mph, 4% grade
2 min recovery at 3.2 mph, 4% grade
    4 min at 3.2 mph, 10% grade
2 min. recovery at 3.2 mph, 4% grade
Repeat cycle (without warm up) 2 more times, then a 10 min. gradual cooldown. Total time: 50 min.

My heartrate is 80% of max (except for recovery times, when it drops to 60%) and it's a much more vigorous workout.

It seems like I should get more APs for this, but I don't know how to figure it. The treadmills says I'm burning 440 cal. and go 2-1/2 miles.

    Any advice?
  • I don't know how to figure out WW exercise points, but we do have a WW section maybe they can answer your question there... Sorry I'm not of much help...
  • You'd have to average your speed, and then use your speed, time and intensity for the WW exercise points. I'd do it, but I'm too lazy to average.
