Help me make a running plan

  • I'm so loving that I...a fat chick...can and am enjoying running! As I've mentioned, I'm doing interval training, 1-2 minutes running (4.0-4.4), 1-2 minutes walking (2.8) and only for 20 minutes daily. This may be slow for you experienced and slimmer runners, but is a load of progress from not being able to get above 3.5 walking....

    I'd like to work my way up to handling a 5K straight so I can start doing charity 5Ks.

    Any ideas how to prepare my body to progress to that?
  • Hey join us on the Couch 2 5k Challenge thread. We are all at different stages and just post about working up to running a 5k. There is a program on coolrunnings.com that we are all following.
  • There's also a couch to 5k podcast on iTunes.

    Search on "Podcasts for running". It's a 9 week program based on the C25k.
