Favorite healthy snacks

  • My snacks are normally fruit - apples or bananas. Sometimes I'll have a little cheese or peanut butter with my apples, but not often.
  • If I'm in a sweet mood, I'll get a medium apple and slice it. Then I get a small amount or oats (I put in 1/8 cup in fitday to get calorie counts) with some splenda and cinnamon and sprinkle on top and cook in the microwave for a minute or so. Smells just like apple pie and tastes pretty good. It has around 120 calories.
  • Love the Laughing Cow Lite Swiss and Natural Peanut butter on celery(not at the same time, of course!)..yum yum. Also, love a nice smoothie made from silken tofu, lowfat, low-sugar soy milk and lowfat yogurt...with a little sugar free flavored jello mix for various flavors. My daughters love this one too, so I have to make enough for all of us. They don't know how healthy it is!
