We are a group of individuals who weigh or have weighed 300+, or near there. This group was formed to provide a place for others like us to find support and hope. We are aware of the distinct problems that come with weighing over 300 lbs.
We want to invite everyone to join us in our journey.
We share laughter and tears .
We share what works for us and what doesn't.
We often use a "Topic of the Day" for discussion.

These are not required topics ...just ideas to share. We often find them very helpful. We also share heartaches and fears ... joys and celebrations.
We have several extra threads going on simutaneously such as Monthly Challenges, Weekly Weigh-ins, Recipes, Bios, and more. Please feel free to check them all out.
We have found this thread to be more than just a support group...
we have found it to become a home. We invite you to join us.
I know you'll all agree that we are really thankful for the free services here at 3FC. The sisters offer all of this support and information with no charges to us. There are a couple of ways though that we can help out.
If you are thinking about buying anything at Amazon, why not help out 3FC at the same time? You can do this by clicking on the button for the Amazon "store" in the upper right hand corner of the screen on the PURPLE tool bar. A portion of your purchase price will be given to 3FC by Amazon. It doesn't increase your price at all, but it does help out 3FC. You can use any of the Amazon.com links that you see on the site in order to help contribute to the site.
Also, BTW, in case you didn't know it, you can view the message boards "ad free" for a minimal charge. I think it's like $15 for 6 months. A very small investment to be rid of the annoying ads and make your pages load quicker.
There have been some concerns expressed by the powers that be about copyright infringement. So please, if you are directly quoting someone else or printing an article in whole or in part, please give credit where credit is due!!!!

Poor thing..but it was funny.
to anyone new...or who has come back!
You can do it!

Seriously, I got up and did 10 minutes on the dreaded eliptical. Doesn't sound like much, but when you consider I've never done more than 16 minutes on the thing when I was doing it regularly, that I haven't set foot on it in over two months and I have NEVER, EVER, EVER even considered exercising in the mornings, I'm quite pleased.
I'm really not a morning person, but I just have been so tired in the evenings or so pushed for time that I can't ever seem to get on the thing. So last night I thought, "If I just get up at 6 or 6:15 instead of 6:30 or 6:45 I will have time to do it in the morning and not rush any more than I normally do." Today was the first of what I hope will be a pattern. The plan is to force myself to do this at least ten of fourteen days and see how it goes. If I still HATE it with a passion at the end of fourteen days I may try a different time of day again.
) one of the moms in the neighborhood where i nanny broke her little toe last summer. she was in the basement and kicked a rolled up carpet on accident. she knew it was broken by the unnatural way it was sticking out. she couldn't wear any shoes for a week or so--just flip flops--and had a terrible time walking. even after about a month, some of her shoes were still tight because of the swelling. the doctor told her to take it easy, keep it up and put ice on it for the swelling. i'd tell you to see the doctor, but the doctor told her there isn't much to do except tape it to the toe next to it to keep it still and wait for it to get better. she also had to go back at one point to have it reset cuz it was such a bad break (had to wait for some swelling to go down or something), but the dr. said that's unusual. anyway, i hope yours isn't broken or dislocated and that you're running around again soon! oh....and, i hope to be adding to the exercise thread again soon!
take care and i hope everyone is enjoying the holidays so far! lori
Congrats on the UPS guy noticing the weight loss. I am sure other people have to but are not sure if they should or should not say anything...you are doing great.
), so I went for a brisk 30-minute walk around the block at lunch time. I have my weigh-in at TOPS tonight, so I didn't want to miss out on exercise completely!
