Hello chicks!

  • Hey everyone! My husband had Gastric Bypass on Nov 1st and had lost 50 pounds so far! I am an avid runner, doing 8-10 miles every day really kept me in shape. I had a baby recently (OK 2 years ago) and have gained ALOT {{post baby!!}} Thats not supposed to happen!! Since my hubby took the drastic step of having wls, he is feeling more frisky and losing so FAST! To be honest, I am very competetive and not used to letting others win, so I am very excited to lose weight too. Although, I know I could drop it as fast as he. I luckily have a bit less to lose though and definitely do not want to be the (fat wife) once he is a hottie!

    I am doing whole foods. Steaming veggies, eating lots of fruit and having whole grain pastas, rice and breads. My 11 year old daughter is a vegan, so the two of us are having a blast trying out new healthy recipes together.

    I really like the energy on this board, and look forward to getting to know all of you and losing the extra jiggle!

  • Yes, I am going to be doing alot of reading on this board this week. I also love the Whole foods lifestyle, got alot of great tips there. My daughter is a vegetarian, I am not (WAY too addicted to sushi!!) But I definitely want to incorporate some good vegetarian recipes into our daily plan to help my daughter eat more variety as well as gain better eating habits myself.
